Songstress Beyonce has explained why she decided to feature African artistes including Ghana’s very own self-acclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale.
According to her, her new album, “Lion King” is a letter to Africa and for Africa.
She mentioned that she decided to feature some great African artistes to give the album the “feel” she was expecting.
The renowned musician explained that the album is not just about the music but says a lot about African music.
Shatta Wale is currently been celebrated for featuring on Beyonce’s album dominating major news headlines in Ghana ans beyond.
Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known in the music circles as “Shatta Wale” has dedicated his feature on Beyoncé latest album to his fellow Ghanaian artistes and fans.
The latest milestone reached by Shatta Wale came as shock to many music fans in what seems to be one of the highest collaboration for a Ghanaian musician in recent times.
Shatta Wale took to his social media on Tuesday, to express his delight with the latest achievement as he appreciated the support from all Ghanaian artistes as well as embattled Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah.
He wrote, “Thank you God for the revelation Thnx to my fans especially ..And to all the Gh artiste, this is not just for me but for all of us !!! Thanks to NAM1 and Fantasy Entertainment.”
He also expressed appreciation to StoneBwoy, Samini Sarkodie and others for the support.
Beyoncé’s latest album titled ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ features new songs performed by top Africa’s stars including Nigeria’s Mr. Eazzi, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Busiswa, Tekno, Wizkid Burna Boy, among others.
The album, curated and produced by Beyoncé would be released on Friday, July 19, 2019.
